3 Things to Bring to Your Senior Portrait Session | New Braunfels Senior Portrait Photographer

Senior sessions are such a fun experience for parents and students alike. Not only is it a moment to celebrate a huge milestone, it’s also taking dedicated time to pause and document this human that you have poured so much energy, love and resources into over the years.

  1. The Makeup and Hair Essentials

Add some touch up makeup and a brush, comb or extra hair spray to your bag. Central Texas can get warm even in early spring, fall and winter, so we highly recommend having makeup on hand to touch up throughout your senior session. Adding a brush or comb to the mix can’t hurt either! If you’re booking a session at our downtown studio, we also have a dressing room with a mirror and plug so bring that curling iron or flat iron if needed!

  2. Outfit Accessories
We cannot stress enough the importance of planning out your outfits before your session date. Think through everything you would put on for your selected outfit - shoes, belts, any jewelry that will add to completing your look. Time and time again people forget the right belt or the earrings they really wanted to wear. Planning these things ahead of time will save you stress on your portrait day and also give you time to make sure you aren’t missing something important!

  3. Anything unique to you
Okay, if you’ve been around here more than a minute you will quickly find we are not huge promoters of over the top props. But, we do believe props can be added tastefully when helping to tell part of the story, and senior sessions are the perfect place to make this happen! If you’ve dedicated your life to ballet it might be worth it to pose in your toe shoes. If music is your passion, consider bringing your guitar! OR, if you’ve got that college tee ready, we’d love to help you document your recent acceptance to your new school of choice.
